Epsom College in Malaysia was honoured to receive Prince Andrew, The Duke of York, on June 29th.
The Duke of York was briefed about the progress at Epsom College in Malaysia by the Headmaster, Martin George and the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Epsom College in Malaysia, Tan Sri Dr Tony Fernandes. The highlight of the visit was the naming of the auditorium at the College. HRH Prince Andrew unveiled a plaque to mark the renaming of the 594-seat auditorium as The Duke of York Theatre.
In his address, The Duke of York said that British education is one of the best British exports, a model in which students are challenged and cared for at the same time. HRH commended the College for successfully bringing the ethos of Epsom College in the UK to the Malaysian campus. “You have done well in establishing the tradition as the first cohort of students, teachers, staff, and parents of the College,” added The Duke of York.
