MARTIN JOHNSON
Arguably England’s greatest-ever player with a career of unprecedented achievement, featuring 84 caps over 11 years for England, three British & Irish Lions tours including two as captain, two Grand Slams and the magnificent Rugby World Cup victory in November 2003. He was awarded the CBE in the 2004 New Year’s Honours List for his outstanding contribution to the sport.
JOHN EALES
As the most capped Wallaby captain (86 tests with 55 as captain), the exceptionally gifted John Eales played for 10 years in Australian colours leading two successful World Cup campaigns,four Bledisloe Cup wins and two successful Tri-Nations seasons plus the first ever defeat by the Wallabies of the British & Irish Lions.
WILLIE JOHN MCBRIDE
With an international career that spanned 1962 to 1975, Irish Rugby legend Willie John McBride played in a record 17 tests for the British & Irish Lions. He was capped 63 times (12 as Captain) and in 2004 he was named as ‘Heineken Rugby Personality of the Century’.
