Bangsar Shopping Centre Christmas event: Reindeer Reign

Malaysia is as good as any country for shopping – and few holidays put as much focus on shopping as Christmas! Bangsar Shopping Centre has once again scheduled activities, performances and treats to tempt holiday shoppers and make those gift-buying excursions even more joyful.

The mall has been decked out beautifully in its holiday best, including six- and seven-metre Christmas trees, to get shoppers in the Christmas spirit, and the special promotions should make 2016’s holiday shopping even more rewarding. Here’s an outline of the events:

Christmas in the air

From now until Christmas Day, BSC will showcase special activities and performances in a holiday wonderland setting. Santa (and Santarina) handing out frosted cookies and candy canes with a specially customised message from BSC, and Christmas carolling – with both traditional and a capella choirs – plus a sax ensemble and a special three-piece band will be on hand to play their holiday sets.

There will be a kids’ photo booth from 12pm to 5pm, with unlimited photos to capture those holiday memories. Kids will also enjoy making reindeer headbands, candy cane ornaments, Christmas tree cards, and whimsical snowman cup crafts.

As an extra treat while shopping, if you spend RM1,000 or more in any of BSC’s many outlets, you’ll receive a reindeer candleholder – or CIMB cardholders only need to spend RM800. Booths will be selling Christmas ornaments, seasonal fashion, gift hampers, holiday gift sets, kids’ apparel and more.

A new treat this year is the BSC Instagram contest. Just follow BSC (@BangsarShoppingCentre), and upload a photo of yourself telling everyone why you love Christmas and why it’s a must to celebrate it with BSC. Be sure to hashtag with #BSCChristmas, and the most creative entry with the most likes will stand a chance to win a new Apple iPhone 7!
