MAS – Direct International Connectivity for Kota Kinabalu

Effective December 2012, Malaysia Airlines will introduce its full-service direct international connectivity from Kota Kinabalu to Perth and Osaka. The airline will also be increasing their frequencies to Hong Kong.

The national carrier will commence a weekly service to Perth on Saturdays from 9 December 2012, and operate flights from Kota Kinabalu to Osaka starting 20 December 2012 on Mondays and Thursdays. It will also introduce two more weekly services from the capital of Sabah to Hong Kong on Wednesdays and Saturdays effective 1 December 2012.

The services will be operated using the 160-seater B737-800 aircraft with the new Boeing Sky Interior, providing a premium travel experience with on-demand in-flight entertainment system on every seat, along with inflight services by the ‘World’s Best Cabin Crew’ as voted in this year’s SKYTRAX awards.

To commemorate the launch of these services, Malaysia Airlines is offering affordable all-inclusive return economy class fares from as low as RM1221 to Hong Kong, RM1489 to Perth and RM1669 to Osaka. Likewise, Business Class fares start from RM2950 to Hong Kong, RM4679 to Osaka and RM4979 to Perth.

Fares to Hong Kong are available for purchase with immediate effect till 31 December 2012, while offers for Perth and Osaka went on sale 18 October and will run through until 9 November 2012.

The fares to Hong Kong are valid for immediate travel, while the offers for Perth and Osaka are valid for travel commencing 9 and 20 December 2012 respectively. All travel at these offers must be completed by 30 June 2013.
