The Women’s Health Carnival at Putra World Trade Centre is offering a free lung check-up for smokers.
The booth, located on the third floor is expected to be a big crowd puller. The booth is set up as part of the ‘JOM Tak Nak Merokok!’ (Let’s Stop Smoking) campaign, in an effort to create a smoke-free environment.
Heavy smokers and those wanting to quit smoking are encouraged to pay a visit to the booth for a lung inspection, to find out the condition of their lungs. Smokers can also seek free consultation on the use of nicotine replacement therapy such as alternative nicotine gum, nicotine extractor and nicotine patch.
Aside from that, the Health Carnival will also provide free health and breast cancer screening, and cervical cancer detection. There will also be a booth for those who wish to register as organ donors.
The Health Carnival at the Putra World Trade Centre is expected to go on till 1 December 2012.
