On days with the perfect sun and wind ratio, lounging by a pool can be very enjoyable. Most hotel pools in KL feature a bar or snack place that’s open to public, so it’s time we started taking advantage of them. Some have pretty attractive happy hour or food deals that may seem hard to believe, coming from an international five-star hotel. And of course, you’re guaranteed fabulous service and decent food since you’d be a customer. If chilling by the pool while snacking is absolutely your cup of tea, take a look at some of the delightful hotel pools in KL.

Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur/ Hilton Kuala Lumpur

One of the largest free-form pools in KL, this pool is shared between Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur and Hilton Kuala Lumpur. At the former, Pool Bar and Grill@8 serves delicious, reasonably-priced platters of burgers, grills, and drinks ranging from illy coffee to beer. Iketeru in Hilton KL on the other hand, is a premium Japanese restaurant with omakase offerings.

Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur

If you feel peace looking out to the KL city skyline, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur’s pool has some pretty sweet views. There are plenty of poolside seats, or you could even book one of their three poolside cabanas for a more intimate experience. The poolside restaurant, Aqua Restaurant and Bar, has a wood-fired oven that produces delectable pizzas.

Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur

Another pool where you can enjoy wood-fired oven-baked pizzas, is Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur’s. It is right outside Villa Danieli, the hotel’s Italian trattoria-styled restaurant which pretty much means you can have an Italian dining experience by the pool. Pizza and pasta by the pool? Count us in.

The Westin Kuala Lumpur

If you prefer having healthier food options, check out Splash, The Westin Kuala Lumpur’s poolside restaurant. It’s a nice space with greenery all around, great for relaxing and giving the eyes a screen break. There are indoor seating options if you prefer dining at a proper table. Splash is a casual all-day-dining venue which means you could have breakfast, lunch, or dinner by its pool.

Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral

Fancy a splash of urban cool? Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral’s sassy Mai Bar is just the place. Snack options include fun finger foods like Cured Salmon with Pretzel Sticks, Minced Lamb Quesadilla, Deep-Fried Falafel, or pizzas galore. There’s also the Oh, Mai Bar-becue that takes place from 6 to 10pm on Thursdays and Fridays and 11am to 11pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Alila Bangsar

Retreat to the urban oasis that is Alila Bangsar for some drinks and snacks at The Pool Bar. Expect dishes that draw from retro favourites and local tropical flavours, as well as some tasty drinks to sip on. Don’t you feel a little bit more at peace just by looking at the pool photo? The hotel’s central location is great for a quick poolside pick-me-up in between your appointments.

Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur

The swanky new Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur opened its doors not too long ago, and we’re excited to check out their pool in person. Pool Bar and Grill serves Middle Eastern specialties by day, and transforms into a stylish shisha lounge and grill at night. Shisha fans who can’t get enough of the Petronas Twin Towers view should try this place out.

Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s poolside restaurant, Poolhouse, was just revamped a few months ago. Guests can now look forward to a totally refreshed dining area with indoor and outdoor seating options, while still being able to dine by the pool. Some of their signature dishes include Tomato-Mozarella Salad, Poolhouse Signature Burger, and Penang Char Kuay Teow, to name a few.
