The Beckhams May Not Come to KL

We have just been advised by the pr agency (Media Twenty Four Seven Sdn Bhd) assisting the Laureus Awards (to be held in KL on the 26th of March) that the Beckhams may not attend the awards ceremony in KL.

It was widely speculated that they (the Beckhams) may come but a press statement released by the pr agency proves otherwise. See below for the press statement.

Press Statement

“Over the last few days, there has been speculation as to who will attend the Laureus World Sport Awards on March 26th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“However, we would like to clarify that Laureus will be announcing further details about guests who will be attending, the venue for the Awards Ceremony and the full programme of events in the coming weeks.
 
“Among the sporting greats who have been named in the past as winners of Awards over the 15 years of  Laureus have been Usain Bolt, Sebastian Coe, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Alex Ferguson, Lewis Hamilton, Kelly Holmes, Rafael Nadal, Pel�, Steve Redgrave, Ronaldo, Michael Schumacher, Kelly Slater, Shaun White, Serena Williams and Zinedine Zidane.

“Guests who have attended the Laureus World Sports Awards Ceremony in the past have included His Majesty King Juan Carlos of Spain, HSH Prince Albert of Monaco, David and Victoria Beckham, Sean Connery, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Morgan Freeman, Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kevin Spacey.
