Commemorating this special milestone, Korean Air has unveiled 10 of their aircraft with specially designed liveries. These commercial jets will display the emblem ’50 years’ with the number ‘0’ painted in a taegeuk design, that resembles the red and blue circle on the South Korean flag.
The South Korean carrier have selected two Airbus A380-800s, two A220-300s, two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, two 777-300ERs and two 737-8 Maxs for the new design.
The first flight to showcase its new livery was a 777-300ER flying from Incheon to San Francisco on 14 February 2019. The emblem unanimously chosen by Korean Air employees, will remain on the planes until the end of 2019.
