Established in 2011, USJ Eye Specialist Centre provides optimal service in the medical field of ophthalmology. Founded by Dr. Yap Soon Lek, the centre’s medical director and senior consultant, is a certified LASIK surgeon and Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgeon. With years of extensive experience as an ophthalmologist, Dr. Yap has been consulting and performing cataract surgery not only in Malaysia, but he is also a member of The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh specializing in Ophthalmology.

Dr Yap’s credentials include being a medical graduate from The University of Edinburgh, an accredited Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from The National University of Singapore, as well as Master of Ophthalmology from The University of Malaya.

Their second consulting ophthalmologist is Dr. Dinesh Kumar, a medical graduate from the Academy of Medicine Malaysia, University of Malaya, and Manipal University in India.  Dr. Dinesh is also accredited with a Master of Ophthalmology (MMED) and Bachelor of Medicine MBBS.

Located in Subang Jaya, Selangor, the centre focuses on offering specialized eye care including cataract, glaucoma, and refractive services, as well as consultation on the various treatments for specific eye conditions. It is a fully comprehensive treatment centre that delivers high quality service for all their patients. This is in addition to their range of highly technological medical equipment that befits the ever-evolving demands of modern age medicine.

Minor surgical procedures and pre-operation tests are conducted at treatment and investigation rooms, the refraction room are specifically for visual acuity tests and refraction.
