The perennially popular celebration in Penang, organised and hosted by the Malaysian-German Society, is slated for late October this year – mark your calendars!
The eagerly anticipated MGS Oktoberfest is making its long-awaited return! Prepare to immerse yourself in one of the grandest German cultural celebrations, complete with the authentic sounds of Bavarian music courtesy of MGS’s live Bavarian band, “Die Frankenräuber.” There will be no shortage of entertainment with lively dancing, engaging games, delectable cuisine, and a wide array of beverages.

- Time: Commencing at 7pm each night

How to Secure Oktoberfest Tickets:

Important Reminders:
- Be sure to decide on the specific day you wish to attend the festival as your ticket will be valid for that day only.
- Early pre-sale closures may occur if tickets are sold out or, in any case, by Wednesday, October 25th.
- Starting from October 26th onwards, all tickets will be priced at RM40 and can be acquired via the MGS office or Ticket2U.
- Remember to have your tickets ready for verification upon entry.
- Individuals aged 16 and above must possess a valid ticket for entry.

Each year, we proudly host a lively Bavarian band specially flown in from the southern reaches of Germany, ensuring an authentic Oktoberfest experience.
Traditionally, Oktoberfest is synonymous with beer, and the MGS event will not disappoint. Anticipate a selection of original Oktoberfest brews alongside an array of local and international beer brands. Your taste buds are in for a treat with a mouthwatering array of German delicacies including sausages, meatloaf, Sauerkraut, pretzels, and more. To ensure everyone can participate and enjoy, they also offer local and pork-free culinary delights, as well as non-alcoholic beverage options.
In true Oktoberfest spirit, the MGS event will have an assortment of traditional games and entertainment to engage both adults and children, making this a truly immersive experience for all ages.
