Malaysia’s biggest whisky and spirits tasting event returns to Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, October 26.

Time is running out to secure your place at the 2024 edition of WhiskyPLUS, taking place on Saturday, October 26 at the beautiful Eastin Hotel in Petaling Jaya Section 16.

This year’s WhiskyPLUS will feature two spectacular sessions, each offering a diverse array of whiskies and spirits from brand owners, along with Malaysia’s top importers, distributors, and retailers. Step into the spacious 7,200-square-foot main tasting room and embark on a journey of unlimited tastings, exploring a wide selection of whisky brands and expressions to suit every palate.

In an exciting addition to the 2024 event, WhiskyPLUS will introduce spirits tasting masterclasses highlighting the award-winning spirits of the Archie Rose Distilling Co. in Sydney, Australia. Having garnered over 400 domestic and international awards in just a decade, Archie Rose is renowned for its craftsmanship and innovation. Other masterclasses for Planteray Rum, The Ontake Distillery’s Japanese single malt, and the impressive Diageo Select Releases 2023 range are also on offer. These masterclasses, exclusively available for VIP guests, provide a unique opportunity to enhance their understanding of whisky and other spirits.

Complementing the tasting experience, guests can indulge in specially curated set meal boxes and immerse themselves in guided tasting sessions, the VIP Lounges, and the highly coveted Collector’s Corners. These exclusive spaces offer a rare selection of old and limited-edition whiskies, available for purchase by the dram. Guests can savour these unique whiskies in a reserved area for connoisseurs seeking a truly elevated experience.

With a broad range of dozens of participating brands, including independent bottlers and new-to-market expressions, whisky enthusiasts will discover familiar favourites and exciting new labels. Visitors can explore whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, the United States, Australia, Japan, Spain, India, and more.

WhiskyPLUS also expands beyond whisky, with an impressive cigar booth from La Casa del Habano located just outside the main tasting room. Guests can browse a carefully curated range of hand-rolled cigars, primarily Cubans, and choose from affordable options or more luxurious selections.

Guests can choose between Standard and VIP entry for each session. Both options come with a commemorative Glencairn-style whisky tasting glass emblazoned with the WhiskyPLUS 2024 logo. Each attendee will also receive a whisky glass holder lanyard, making it easy to navigate the event hands-free. A shorter two-hour Whisky Explorer option is also available for those looking to join the fun, but perhaps not ready to take the full plunge!
