Hailing from the Netherlands, Merel joined TEG Media in early 2024. Armed with a legal background and well-seasoned in teaching, writing, and editing, she loves to turn interesting ideas into easy-to-understand sentences, one edit at a time. With almost 30 years of international experience in Asia and Australia, Merel has developed a deep understanding of diverse cultures and hopes to bring this to the reader’s table, and though she will always miss friends, family, and Dutch cheese, she feels nothing beats living in Asia. When not writing, or eating durian, she plays tennis and travels the world, along with her intrepid international family, in pursuit of new adventures.
