Founded in 1951, Garden International School (GIS) is one of the oldest and most prestigious private co-educational international schools in Malaysia. Having moved from its original location in the Lake Gardens, GIS is now located 10 km from Kuala Lumpur City Centre, across two campuses: an Early Years Centre in Desa Sri Hartamas and a Primary and Secondary School in Mont’ Kiara. Comprising students from over 65 different countries, GIS educates around 2,000 students aged between 3 and 18 years old.
An Apple Distinguished School and GL International Centre of Excellence which is accredited by both the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), GIS offers the British National Curriculum, including IGCSE and A Levels examinations. Providing a high quality British-based curriculum within the context of an inclusive, innovative learning culture, students at GIS benefit from outstanding teaching within the classroom and a ‘wider curriculum’ outside of the classroom, both of which are carefully designed to bring out the best in every learner.
