InvestKL works with various government ministries and agencies to help shape and offer attractive fiscal packages and support businesses in identifying good opportunities for investment to try and maintain a level of competitiveness with the region and the world.
A primary objective is to attract and support 100 multinationals to base their regional headquarters in Malaysia, and InvestKL work to make it easy for companies or corporations to invest in the capital and its on-going projects, providing the necessary information and support to ease the process. Due this focus, InvestKL is accountable to PEMANDU (Performance Management and Delivery Unit) as it falls under the ETP for Greater KL as the Entry Point Project (EPP) number one.
Services
InvestKL offers various services to businesses to facilitate the process of investing in KL, and these include:
- Familiarisation programmes to help adjust to their new home
- Aiding in creating a business strategy
- Introducing the investor to the various business hubs in greater KL and the Klang Valley
- Providing post-investment services
- Recommending the best investment locations
- Proposing talent management programmes
