CEO of Sunway Shopping Malls and Theme Parks, HC Chan, was recently appointed as President for Council of Asian Shopping Centres (CASC) 2013 in Beijing.
Chan is also the current President of Malaysia Shopping Malls Association (PPK Malaysia) and the Vice President of FIABCI-Malaysia.
Chan is a veteran in the Malaysian shopping mall industry, having spent 30 years in shopping mall management.
Formed by Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, CASC was established in 2004 with the principal objectives of improving multi-lateral relations and networking of shopping centres in the Asian region.
Regional conferences are also organised in member countries annually for information sharing and education. Over the years, the Council has grown and its representatives to date comprises of national shopping mall associations from Malaysia, China, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with affiliations from Philippines, Singapore, Australia, Japan and Thailand.
With HC Chan as the current President, the 2013 CASC Conference will be held in Malaysia.
