What brought you to Malaysia?
I came here as an expat employee of an oil and gas company. I have been here for over four years now.

What were your impressions of Malaysia before you came?
I knew Malaysia was a Muslim country and had a similar culture with my own country. Malaysia has grown well, and is now an
even better country to live in, especially for an expatriate. Malaysia offers very convenient, safe, and modern living.

How easily did you adapt to living in a new country?
I adapted well and quickly, as Malaysia’s culture is similar with Indonesia’s in terms of language, food, and character of the people.

What are the three things you like most about living in Malaysia?
I like the highway, the LRT/Monorail, and the well-organised city.

Name three typical weekend activities that you enjoy.
I like to travel for diving trips, I like to go shopping, or just go to a spa to pamper myself.

Do you frequent any restaurants offering food of your homeland?
Yes, I like to go to a nasi Padang restaurant that serves very delicious, spicy food.

Do you own property here?
I do not have my own property in Malaysia as I know it is much more expensive to buy property here than in my home country. I don’t think it is worthwhile business-wise.

Are most of your friends Malaysians or expats?
I have many Malaysian and expat friends. Whether they are expats or locals, they all are the same if they are good friends and are happy to help each other.
