The long awaited interchange connecting Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Pudu, Jalan Cheras and Jalan Chan Sow Lin in Kuala Lumpur is now open to traffic.
The Star wrote that the interchange which cost RM60 million, is expected to improve traffic congestion in Cheras, also known as the “Cheras Crawl”, especially during peak hours.
Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin told The Star that the traffic volume in Jalan Cheras has reached its peak. “With the opening of the intersection, Jalan Cheras and Jalan Pudu will be a free-flowing two-lane road and traffic can also be dispersed to Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Chan Sow Lin via ramps,” he said.
