Starting next year, Selangor will extend its No Plastic Bag Day to two days (Fridays and Saturday) instead of the current one day a week (Saturday).
According to a comment made to The Star by Local Government, Study and Research Committee Chairman Ronnie Liu, most hyper markets and supermarkets in Selangor have been practicing the No Plastic Bag Day on Saturdays.
The State (Selangor) will also be giving out incentives to residents who adopt the “green concept”. For instance, the Petaling Jaya City Council is giving incentives to families that save on electricity, water and reduce waste disposal. Those who have made their homes a green building will also receive incentives.
Do you remember to bring your own bags when you go shopping?
