There will be a puppy adoption drive this Sunday organized by the Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better.
This canine welfare organization (non-profit) is dedicated in rehoming rescued and abandoned dogs in Malaysia. They also strongly promote the Trap-Neuter-Release-Manage system to curb strays.
The non-profit organisation is currently in need for people to adopt their puppies. They have more than 40 puppies between the age of three and six months old for adoption. According to an article in The Star, the organisation will be in trouble if they don’t find people to adopt these puppies soon.
The adoption drive is happening this Sunday (16 December 2012). It will be held at Jaya One shopping complex, Block NB 1 (facing Station 1 and Old Town White Coffee) in Section 13, Petaling Jaya. The adoption drive starts at 11am and ends at 6pm.
The organisation is encouraging all canine lovers to adopt a dog, or least foster them until a permanent home can be found.
The organisation is also in need of everyday item such as rice, bleach, old towels and old newspapers. Those who wish to donate these items can do so by dropping them of at the adoption drive. Those who wish to make monetary donations (to help with their never-ending veterinary bills) can also do so by visiting the adoption drive. Banking details are also available on their Facebook page.
The Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better operates on public donations, so, any help from the public is most welcome.
