From June this year, those who ignore their traffic summonses from Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) risk being blacklisted or may even face legal action.
According to The Star, MBPJ, in a move to check traffic offenders, has applied to the Transport Ministry to empower them to issue summonses for traffic offenses.
Early this year, an application by MBPJ to the Road Transport Department (the application was made mid-August last year), to give them more power as traffic wardens, to the current batch of 50 traffic officers, was approved.
