The heavy rain that hit several places in Kuala Lumpur yesterday evening caused landslides, and left trees uprooted in certain areas in the city centre. This led to road closures to clear up the landslides, which in turn, is the cause for any traffic congestion you may be facing today.
Roads – (that are closed – in the federal capital includes the stretch from Jalan Mahameru to Jalan Tun Razak, and Jalan Sultan Salehuddin behind Bank Negara. The closure of these roads are due to a landslide at Jalan Mahameru at 3am this morning.
There was also a landslide near the Dang Wangi LRT station resulting in the closure of the stretch of road between Jalan Ampang and Bukit Nenas.
There were also small landslides in places such as Jalan Kasah at Bukit Damansara and Jalan Klang Lama in Taman Shanghai.
