British Singer-songwriter, rapper, beat boxer and record producer Jay Sean will be performing in Kuala Lumpur next month!
Jay Sean first debuted in UK’s Asian Underground scene as a member of the popular Rishi Rich project, with the song Dance with You. The hit song reached the #12 spot on the UK Singles Chart in 2003. The success of Dance with You led to Sean being signed to Virgin Records. He then produced two UK top 10 hits; Eyes on You (#6) and Stolen (#4), as a solo artist in 2004.
At the end of 2008, Jay Sean signed on to Cash Money Records. His American debut single Down in 2009 topped the Billboard Hot 100. This made him the first solo artist of South Asian origin and the first UK urban act to top the Hot 100 list. Down was the 7th best-selling song in 2009 with a sale of three million copies in the United States alone. Eventually, the single reached four million in sales in the US and six million in sales worldwide. This made him the most successful British/European male urban artist in the US chart history.
Jay Sean released his fourth album on the 30th of July this year. Titled “Neon”, the album is under Cash Money Records.
