US President Barack Obama has cancelled his trip to Malaysia. The president was expected to visit Malaysia next week to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in KL.

According to Malaysia’s Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, the standoff between the Republicans and the Democrats in the United States had caused a partial shutdown of the administrative operations, and President Obama is needed back home to deal with the crisis.
However, the Secretary of State, John Kerry, will attend the Summit as Obama’s representative.
