Cathay Pacific Airways recently announced the reopening of its lounge at the Penang International Airport, after an extensive renovation. The single class lounge, located on Level 3 of the terminal building, can seat up to 60 people in an area more than double the size of the previous space.
The renovated facility features many of the familiar design features of The Wing, The Cabin and The Bridge, ensuring a consistent look and feel between Hong Kong and outport lounges, for the comfort and convenience of passengers departing from Penang.
The dining area features a self-service buffet with a new range of hot and cold Asian and Western dishes. The IT zone features two individual workstations installed with personal computers. Free Wi-Fi and power sockets are also available throughout the lounge.
The materials adopted in the Penang lounge provide an atmosphere conducive to relaxation. The decor blends the warmth of wood and bamboo with the elegance of white marble and black granite.
As with all Cathay Pacific lounges, the Penang lounge is open to First and Business Class passengers, Silver and above Marco Polo Club members and Sapphire and above oneworld members.
