Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has introduced a new application for users to track their electricity usage by using their smart phone.
According to The Star, the myTNB app will allow users to keep track of their monthly electricity consumption and their bills by using their smart phone. You can also choose to activate e-mail billing for your convenience.
To use this app, landlords should first subscribe to TNB’s e-services at here. The app is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
According to TNB’s senior general manager of customer service Kamaliah Abdl Kadir, TNB’s e-services and myTNB app is mainly aimed for landlords who are burdened by unpaid bills from their tenants.
An account holder can register up to 20 of their premises for both the e-services and myTNB. By checking their accounts regularly, landlords can then choose to contact TNB to cut off the supply of electricity if their tenants have any outstanding bills. This will avoid the landlords being burdened with unpaid bills.
So far, about 600,000 account holders have subscribed to TNB’s e-services and 18,000 of them have downloaded the myTNB app.
