Express Rail Link Sdn. Bhd (ERL) launched the KL TravelPass recently. The pass is an integrated smart card ticket that can be used on all major public transportation systems in KL including the KLIA Ekspres, RapidKL LRT and buses and the KL Monorail. The card can also be used at convenience stores as well as food and beverage outlets that display the Touch ‘n Go sign.
The KL TravelPass is targeted at inbound visitors travelling to KL. The card reduces one’s dependency on cash, as all transport tickets are stored in just one card. This eliminates the time spent standing in line to buy a ticket at the counter or the ticket machine.
Reloading the card is also easy as there are over 6,000 locations in the country to do so; train stations and petrol stations.
There are two packages to choose from when purchasing the KL TravelPass. Package 1 is priced at RM50 (with an additional RM10 included in the card) and Package 2 is priced at RM85 (with an additional RM10 included in the card.
