Bernama.com reported that Malaysians travelling to India as tourist will now receive a multiple entry visa. This will provide greater flexibility in their travel plans.
Before, tourist visas only allowed a Malaysian double entry. But as of last week, the Indian government lifted the two-month gap requirement between two consecutive visits to India by Malaysians.
According to the report on Bernama, Deputy High Commissioner Aseem R. Mahajan said that all visas will be ready within three working days. Applicants are advised to exercise caution in filling in the forms and selecting the visa category to avoid any inconvenience.
Trade and business travelers to India will also enjoy multiple entry visas, which are valid up to a year, without any gap between entries.
