Founder of Virgin Group, Richard Branson to Don A Skirt

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson, or better known as Richard Branson, the founder and chairman of Virgin Group, will put on a skirt and serve passengers on board an AirAsia flight in May 2013.

According to The Star, this is because of a bet made between Branson and AirAsia Group CEO, Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes. In 2009, Branson had challenged Fernandes’s Lotus F1 team to beat his Virgin Racing group at the 2010 Formula 1 Championship.

“The loser of the bet would have to serve as a stewardess on the winner’s airline,” the Star wrote.

Unfortunately for Branson, he lost the bet.  However, he injured his knee in 2011, and the bet was postponed.

The Star wrote that all proceeds from the flight would go towards a charity organisation of Branson’s choice.
