Burgers reigned supreme at the last Expat Mingle, alongside an array of scrumptious goodies. Held at The Daily Grind in Bangsar Village, the event was the perfect excuse to indulge in meaty goodness. Guests sipped on Pacifico Cabernet Saubignon, Purple Bramble and Golden Delicious wines, all generously provided by Cronier Wines. Those wanting to cool off with a beer got to quench their thirst with mugs of cold draught Heineken, courtesy of GAB.
The Daily Grind lived up to its reputation, leaving guests spoilt for choice with what to feast on. The mixed platter of beef and chicken mini-burgers were an obvious hit, with the juicy meat patties winning the hearts (and stomachs) of all who were there. Rounding up the list of delectable delights were crunchy prawn poppers, delicious dynamite chicken boxing, hearty meatballs, fluffy mini-buttermilk pancakes and assorted cakes for those with a sweet tooth.
The night got even livelier when the lucky draw prizes were announced, prompting much cheering from the crowd. This Mingle’s prizes included F&B vouchers, a bottle of wine, movie passes, and a 2-night stay at Puri Hotel in Melaka (inclusive of breakfast). Other hotly-contested prizes included a 2-night stay (with breakfast) at the Batik Boutique Hotel in Kuching and 2-return tickets to Jakarta on KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines).
With finger-lickin’ good grub in everyone’s tums and lively chatter all around, the night proved to be just the right antidote to battling mid-week fatigue!
