There’s a new way to find out more about KL and what your friends say about this city.
Facebook’s new Places Directory lets you search for restaurants, hotels, bars, cafes, public attractions, arts and entertainment, gyms, movie theatres, schools, theatres and grocery stores (for now). Each category yields a list of results that seems to be ranked by user ratings and show comments from your Facebook network friends. Then there is a filter to drill down to social criteria (Liked by or Visited by Friends, etc.) and you can save the listings to your saved page to view or organize later.
While Facebook’s Places Directory is in its infancy and might not replace other travel sites yet, you can now benefit from the trusted reviews and comments from your friends and get to know the city you’re living in better, or use it when you are travelling to different cities.
