While many were still undecided on how best to spend their Saturday night, there was a flurry of activities taking place at the Black Box in Publika. Walking into the venue, you could see staff scurrying around putting the final touches on decorations, candles being lit to create an intimate environment and wine, beer, and food laid out on tables. One look at all the buzz and there wasn’t a shadow of doubt that it was going to be a fun night. And that was exactly what the team at The Expat Group had in mind when they hosted the Mega Mingle on 23rd November.
Once the doors opened and the party gained momentum, it was hard not to be swept away by the excitement and energy. Black Box, a new open-plan space, was perfect for the night as the ample area allowed guests to mingle and dance the night away.
As the hours ticked by, guests were treated to some delicious nosh in the form of canapés and finger food courtesy of F&B outlets in Publika. While the wines and beers sponsored by Cronier Wines and Guiness Anchor Bhd respectively helped guests relax and get into the mood, those longing for something non-alcoholic were not disappointed as they were treated to beverages from Coffee Stain.
With DJ Chris rocking the console with dance tunes, and the band 24 JAM belting out dance tunes, it wasn’t long before guests were moving to the rhythm. A welcome surprise was the inclusion of shoulder massage sponsored by Hammam (a Moroccan version of a Turkish spa), easing away any signs of tension in all. As the night drew to a close, it was time for the lucky draws and many were hoping to be one of the winners of the amazing prizes sponsored by Jewellerist, Magnum, The Social and KLM.
Everyone went home a winner that night though, as they were given goodie bags containing vouchers and more. A special mention to the sponsors of the night including MAP, Hammam, Fahrenheit 600, On the Table, Fat Boys, Secret 009 Kalacs, Coffee Stain, The Social and Nathalie Gourmet Cuisine, for making the event a successful one. It was indeed a memorable and fun night for everyone!
