A recent report in The Star newspapers says that many are not aware of metered taxis at KLIA. In fact, most automatically pay for an Airport Limo cab which is really expensive. By taking a metered taxi, you can save half the amount you pay for a Limo Cab.

According to the Star, an example of the price difference for a passenger travelling to Old Klang Road is almost half! A premium airport limo would cost about RM102 while an airport limo budget taxi would cost RM74. A metered taxi would only cost RM58!
So why are people not aware of the metered taxis? One reason is that the signages in the airport are confusing. The second is that the counter to purchase metered taxis is not visible because it is located at a corner outside the arrival hall.
So, how can you make sure you find the metered taxis? Take the lift or escalator to Level 1 and you will easily find the counter in the corner.
